[News short] AN ELECTRONIC sign on the Princes Freeway advising motorists of Queen Street’s closure has got the spelling of Warragul wrong. Twice.

On Tuesday one message on the sign said “Warrigal”, the name of a road in Melbourne, is accessible via the next freeway exit.

Another message said “Queen St Warrigal [is] closed”.

Near the temporary sign is a permanent exit sign with the correct spelling of the name.

Written with thanks to Marcus for pointing this out.

I suspect the could not fit the correct spelling on the sign. It was either WARRIGAL or WAR’GUL…
