The Warragul Citizen recently received this email from Sam and Mina Harper of Northern Ireland:

Can you help please?

My family and I are trying to trace relations who we believe live in Warragul, Australia. The details we have may not be entirely accurate but this what we have;

Nell Harper from Belfast, Northern Ireland was sent by her employers to teach commercial weaving in Warragul in the 1950s, she married Terry Flanaghan (Flanagan ) an Australian National and they had two sons, we believe they were named Mark and Laurence.

They were joined by Nell’s mother, our grandmother Ellen. We understand that Nell died quite young in the late 50s or early 60s. Ellen died in the mid to late 60s.

We would very much appreciate any help your paper can give by publishing this request for [assistance.]

It would be mighty rotten to refuse a request like that!

This is a touching message and The Warragul Citizen asks that you please pass it around. Hopefully it will soon get to someone who can help!
