RUSSELL BROADBENT has been sworn in as the member for McMillan in the 44th parliament following his successful re-election campaign.

Mr Broadbent, now a government backbencher, was returned in September’s federal election with an increased two party preferred vote over Labor rival Anthony Naus.

He was one of 90 Coalition MPs sworn in today.

Mr Broadbent has represented the seat continuously since the 2004 election. He was also MP between 1996 and 1998 before being deposed by Labor’s Christian Zahra.
