None of the officers usually inside when the accident occurred at about 1PM were at their desks, but it is believed one council officer in an adjoining office suffered minor injuries when an internal wall was pushed in.

The elderly driver of the white Honda involved in the smash is not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.

The car travelled through a veranda post, door and window and came to rest at the far side of the office.

The smash destroyed desks, filing cabinets and other office furniture, two computers, council officers’ documents, and council promotional material.
