Police appeal: 7 year old assaulted in Warragul

WARRAGUL police are appealing for information after a 7 year old was assaulted on Clifford Street last week.

A police spokesperson said the assault occurred at around 18:15 on Wednesday 14 October near the Macarthur Street intersection.

An alleged offender has been described as a tanned Caucasian male with bright blonde collar-length hair. He is of average height with medium build and aged in his late thirties to early forties.

Police also want to speak to a woman who witnessed the event while walking a fluffy white dog eastwards along Clifford Street toward Normanby Street.

The spokesperson said police have distributed letters about the incident to residents in the area.
