GIPPSLAND line services are running again after a person was hit by a metropolitan train in Berwick earlier today but commuters are being advised bad weather could cause delays.

A V/Line spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen the rail operator was hesitant to say all services will run as scheduled.

“With the heavy weather, we’re still expecting some possible disruptions into the evening but we’ll do them on an individual train basis rather than trying to say ‘everything’s normal’,” the spokesperson said.

Earlier today Gippsland line services were suspended after a person was hit by a train near Berwick.

Several services were replaced by buses.

Some Melbourne to Traralgon services originated at Pakenham and passengers at preceding stations were provided with buses.
