'Remain indoors,' CFA tells residents near Gloucester Place Warragul

RESIDENTS of and near Gloucester Place in Warragul have been advised to remain indoors due to a gas leak on the street.

UPDATE 17:55 – The Warragul Fire Brigade has advised “the gas leak in Gloucester Place has been stopped. There may be a slight smell of gas in the vicinity.”

In a post on social media a spokesperson for the Warragul Fire Brigade said fire crews from Warragul and Drouin were on the scene and police “are liaising with local residents regarding evacuating nearby houses if required.”

“Residents in the vicinity of Gloucester Place, Warragul, are requested to remain indoors with windows closed and air conditioners off,” the spokesperson said.

“Please avoid the area to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.”

    I ‘m in Centre Ave. I could smell gas this morning around 9.30 I checked all our gas applicances which were all off.
