A Warragul police spokesperson said the boys, who didn’t enter the vehicle, were beckoned to while outside Eastern Park by the driver of the vehicle at around 4.20 pm.

“At this time a vehicle pulled up beside the two boys, a female driver in the vehicle started to wave to [them], indicating for them to come over to her vehicle,” the spokesperson said.

“The [person who reported the incident] then opened the front door of her house to find the vehicle speed off at a fast rate south along Normanby Street.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was described as a Caucasian woman aged between 30 and 40, possibly wearing a “boofy” blonde wig and “cheetah spot” tee shirt.

“According to the boy’s 10-year-old friend, the same person and vehicle has been seen in the vicinity on two other occasions.

“On these occasions the female vehicle occupant has waved him to the vehicle, she has then driven off. Previous encounters were unreported to police.”

The vehicle was described as being a dark blue mid-1990s four-wheel drive with a silver strip down the side.

Any information about the incidents can be reported to senior constable Paula Fowler at Warragul Police on 5622 7111 or to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
