The facilities were constructed as part of the $26 million Warragul rail precinct upgrade, which also included the installation of traffic lights at the Alfred and Howitt Street intersection, moving and renovation of the historic goods shed and construction of an underpass linking Alfred Street to Normanby Place.

The underpass will be completed and opened mid-next year, while what will happen with the goods shed remains to be seen.

Funding for the project came from state, local and federal government.

Have not yet used the car park …. but do travel to Mel once a month for work just that Drouin station is more convenient due to our family circumstances. The area is certainly transformed – well done to all

now to see an increase of parking at Trafalgar station, but the real opportunity is a large park and ride style carpark on the north-side of Yarragon station.
