WEST Gippsland Community Radio can continue to broadcast until 2018 after its license renewal application was successful.

Secretary Lynn Wells told The Warragul Citizen the renewal process was demanding.

“The Licence Renewal process is a complete audit of our management and planning, repeated every five years,” Ms Wells said.

“Success is a tribute to all our volunteers, and to the listeners who supported our case for renewal.

“Listeners will be happy to know that 3BBR FM’s place on the airwaves is secured until 2018.”

The station will have to go through the license renewal process again in 2017.

You can find the 3BBR FM program schedule at and in The Warragul Citizen’s community radio guide, next printed in October 5’s Issue 7.

You can tune in at 103.1 3BBR FM.
