The company was presented with the awards for its Green Cleaning milking machine at a ceremony in Melbourne last night.

The machine was developed over three years and uses significantly less energy, chemicals and water than standard wash systems.

The Overall Award for Excellence is an award presented to the organisation or individual that has contributed the most to sustainability across the eight savewater! awards categories.

The system achieves its environmental edge by operating at lower temperatures and requiring 63 per cent less water for cleaning than other systems, potentially saving the average dairy farm 1000 litres of water per day.

Other finalists in the Overall Award were an evaporation and algal control system, a high-efficiency sprinkler and a low water flow shower head.
