Council pools in Drouin, Trafalgar, Neerim South, Rawson, and Thorpdale will reopen next month!

The 2017/18 seasonal pools period will begin on 1 December and end on 31 March next year.

Thanks to temperature controls, Warragul Leisure Centre’s new outdoor pool opened on 1 November and will remain open until 30 April 2018.

Drouin, Trafalgar, Neerim South, and Thorpdale pools open on days forecast to reach or exceed 25 degrees Celsius. Which days the pools will open is determined a week in advance based on Warragul forecast data and revised daily.

Warragul and Rawson pool hours are not affected by low temperatures.

Pools might close early due to thunderstorms or extreme weather conditions, and all sites will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Hours and entry fees can be found on the Baw Baw Shire website.

New Rawson pool and gym hours

Rawson’s pool and gym will be open more often this season thanks to a trial of morning sessions.

The site will open from 6am to 7am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in addition to regular hours.

Gym facilities will be open for unsupervised use by people aged 18 years and over.

“The introduction of morning swims and easier gym access will mean locals can incorporate a fitness regime into their busy daily lives which will benefit themselves and the community,” East ward councillor Michael Leaney said in a media release.
