Planning to drink and drive in Baw Baw this NYE? Don’t.

Baw Baw police will be “out in force” tonight to crack down on drink and hoon driving.

“Plan beforehand if you’re going to get a drink,” a Warragul Police spokesperson told the Baw Baw Citizen.

“Plan not to drive, get a taxi, or have a designated driver who does not drink.”

Police are also encouraging everyone to make sure those around them are safe too.

“Look after each other, particularly if your mates are intoxicated, to make sure they get home safely,” the spokesperson said.

“We understand it’s the festive season, but we just want everyone to be home safe at the end of it.”
