The Trafalgar Bowls Club, Warragul Croquet Club, Warragul Industrials Football Netball Club and Yarragon Bowling Club have been selected to receive funds in this round of the Sporting Uniform Grants Program.

The clubs are among 337 across the state to receive money for uniforms in this round of funding.

The Baw Baw Hockey Club, Drouin Croquet Club, Drouin Junior Football Club and Trafalgar Golf Club all received $1,000 uniform grants under the same program late last year.

Member for Narracan Gary Blackwood said in a media release that the funding was important to improve accessibility.

“Most sporting competitions simply won’t allow you on the park without a proper uniform,” Mr Blackwood said.

“This grant not only provides a boost for these local clubs, but ensures more members of the community, whatever their skill level or background, get the chance to represent the club and join in the fun.”
