THE WARRAGUL Colts Youth Girls AFL team has beaten Traralgon side Cumberland Park Youth Girls by 117 points at the Traralgon West Sporting Complex.
The Colts played well from the beginning of yesterday’s game, achieving a lead of 77 points to 0 by half time.

Final scores were Warragul Colts 18.16.124 to Cumberland Park 1.1.7.
Warragul Colts president Tony Linford told The Warragul Citizen the team had a lot to look forward to this season.
“It was a very exciting day for the Colts and for the AFL Youth Girls Gippsland League, seeing the girls play AFL football and putting their skills in place and watching them have fun,” Mr Linford said.
“We look forward to eight more rounds of the girls football, with around four matches being played right here at Eastern Park in Warragul.

“The Warragul Colts have been training for some time, with around 8 new players playing for the first time ever in AFL.”
Izzy Marsh was the best player on the day, kicking six goals for the Colts.
Tiffany Denysenko kicked three goals, Sarah Alweyn, Elicia Akers and Madi Burke kicked two goals each and Ebony Linford, Angel Scott and Haylet Brooker all kicked one goal.
Izzy will represent Victoria in the Victorian State School Squad in Darwin this August.
The Colts are looking for girls aged between 13 and 18 to join the team.
