Rachel Antoniadou and Jake Horstman of Warragul will represent Basketball Country Victoria at the inaugural Basketball Australia National 3×3 U18 Championships next month.

Basketball Country Victoria is sending a men’s and a women’s team of four players each to the event, which will be held from the 19th to the 21st of July at Sydney’s Olympic park.

The team will have one training session in Victoria before the championship.

By playing, Ms Antoniadou and Mr Horstman will be eligible for selection into the national team.

The national team will play in the World 3×3 U18 Championship in Spain later this year.

The 3×3 format means only three players from each team will be on the court at a time.

The women’s team will be coached by Korumburra’s Nat Weston, and the men’s team by Mildura’s Adam Tarr.

Other players in the teams come from, Shepparton, Geelong, Warrnambool, Portland and Bendigo.

Only Warragul and Warrnambool have more than one player in the teams.
