Police are investigating after two storage units were forced open in Drouin earlier this month.

A police spokesperson told the Baw Baw Citizen the incident occurred between 3 and 10 December at storage units near Aikman Court.

The spokesperson said nothing was removed from the site, but a hole was cut in the wire gate and two storage units had been forcefully opened.

Hand tools were thought to have been stolen, but were later found near the front gate.

It is likely the offender or offenders were interrupted during the attempted burglary.
