A section of Queen Street between Normanby Street and just east of Normanby Place will be closed between 21:00 Sunday and 06:00 Monday.

A spokesperson for Thiess, the company conducting the works, told the Warragul & Baw Baw Citizen there will be prep works on Normanby Place from 19:00.

Eastbound traffic will be diverted up Peace avenue, onto Mavis Avenue, then north up Normanby Street to Albert Road before being directed to turn right. Vehicles can rejoin Queen Street via Phoenix Street.

Westbound traffic has a much easier route – a detour at Normanby Street will see vehicles instructed to turn left onto Normanby Place, then on to Mavis Avenue to rejoin Queen Street via Peace Avenue.

Workers will patch the existing Queen Street road surface, lay new road surface and reinstate linemarking while the detour is in place.
