At around 4.30pm the line of people waiting to cast their vote extended down the street, making waiting voters easy targets for party supporters handing out how to vote cards.
The Australian Electoral Commission estimates over three million early votes have been cast around the country, topping last year’s record by at least 500,000 votes.
The main poll and house of representatives count will take place tomorrow.
The Warragul Citizen will run a live blog as part of its election day coverage – visit warragulcitizen.com tomorrow to stay updated.
