Five arrested over criminal damage in Drouin

POLICE have arrested a man and four teenagers over an alleged criminal damage incident at a Drouin house.

A police spokesperson said the incident occurred at the Grandview Close home on Sunday at around 19:00 and involved holes being punched and kicked into walls and the theft of perfume, a mobile and some cash.

Police have also alleged the same group attended the house the day before when a 16 year old boy was assaulted, though the spokesperson said the boy did not suffer any injuries during the incident.

At 18 year old Drouin man has been charged with assault with a weapon, burglary, theft and criminal damage.

He has been bailed to appear at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on 1 October 2015.

A 15 year old Longwarry boy has been charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage and has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Two 16 year old boys, from Drouin and Longwarry, have been interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
