Garage remote taken from unlocked vehicle used in theft

A THEFT using a garage remote stolen from an unlocked car in Drouin is the latest in a spate of thefts which has police warning residents to lock up.
Police are searching for an offender who gained access to the garage of a Church Street address yesterday after taking the door remote from an unlocked car in the driveway.

Police told The Warragul Citizen there has been a rise in thefts from unlocked vehicles across Baw Baw, especially in Warragul, Drouin and Neerim South.
A number of youths have been charged but thefts are continuing.
Police are reminding all residents to always lock their cars.
