Two strangers who helped a girl after a reported sexual assault in Drouin last year are being sought by police to assist with investigations.

“Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate two good Samaritans who assisted a victim following a reported sexual assault in Drouin last year,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.

“Although not involved in the incident, police believe the occupants of the vehicle may have information that can assist with the investigation.

“It is believed the teenage girl was walking near the Drouin Railway Station between 10pm and midnight on Saturday, 11 November, 2017.

“The girl appeared distressed and police have been told a man and woman in a dark coloured sedan picked her up before dropping her off a short distance away.

“The incident is believed to have occurred earlier that night at a property elsewhere in Drouin.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report to crimestoppersvic.com.au.”
