Lardners Track collision leaves one dead, another injured

warragul police william kulich warragul citizenA WOMAN believed to be in her 20s has died after losing control of her vehicle and colliding with oncoming traffic in Lardner this morning.

Police believe the woman’s vehicle crossed to the wrong side of Lardners Track near the Burnt Store Road intersection, hitting a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction at around 6am.

The driver of the other vehicle, a man in his 20s, was taken to the West Gippsland Hospital with minor injuries.

The incident brings the state’s provisional road toll to 215, 46 lower than this time last year.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
