Mayor Diane Blackwood to join Ministerial-Mayors’ Advisory Panel

Baw Baw Shire Mayor Councillor Diane Blackwood has tonight announced on Twitter she will be joining the Ministerial-Mayors’ Advisory Panel (MMAP) this year.
Cr Blackwood tweeted the Minister for Local Government Jeanette Powell had accepted her onto the MMAP.

“Just been notified by the Minister For Local Govt, Ms Jeanette Powell, I have been accepted onto the Mayors Ministerial advisory group 2012,” Cr Blackwood said.
The MMAP aims to advise local government of unfunded responsibilities and consult with local government representatives on areas which involve both state and local government action.
The panel was established in 2011 and its members met twice during the year.
Quite easy to get onto the MMAP when your husband is an MP in the Government.
