A MOTORCYCLIST has died after losing control of their bike north of Neerim Junction on Main Neerim Road at around 9.30 this morning.

Victoria Police report the rider, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The rider was heading north toward Noojee when they came off their bike.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.

The accident comes just a day after a Labertouche man died after losing control of his bike at Shady Creek.

Victoria’s provisional road toll for 2012 now stands at 235, 11 more than this time last year.
