THE FUTURE OF GippsTAFE Warragul’s Wattleseed Training Restaurant remains in doubt despite the TAFE announcing its Morwell restaurant will remain open.

GippsTAFE announced its Waratah Training Restaurant in Morwell will stay open last month after funding cuts threatened the future of the facility.

Despite the announcement, a spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen the future of the Wattleseed Restaurant is uncertain.

“There has been no firm decision made regarding to the future operation of the Wattleseed Restaurant,” the spokesperson said.

“GippsTAFE is still considering its options whilst reviewing the operation of the Wattleseed Restaurant.”

“This decision will be made based on community demand, which we are still assessing.”

“We are currently taking enrolments in Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) as well as many other courses.”

“The demand for these courses will dictate the future of the Wattleseed Restaurant.”
