TRARALGON line rail services have returned to normal after a fatality between Officer and Beaconsfield this morning.

A V/Line spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen a Traralgon-bound service hit a person at around 10am and trains were disrupted until after 1pm.

“The service was the 09:30 SCS to Traralgon with 130 people on board. It was involved in a fatality at about 10:00 between Officer and Beaconsfield,” the spokesperson said.

“Coaches replaced trains until 13:15 when the line was re-opened.”

A passenger on the service said it was over an hour to before all 130 people were helped from the carriages and replacement buses left.

A line suspension notice said the person was trespassing when they were hit.
