The Bureau of Meteorology is warning West and South Gippsland residents of possible flooding from the end of the weekend.

Up to 30mm of rain is forecast to inundate the region from Sunday afternoon.

The Bureau says rain is expected to cause “significant” stream rises, possibly causing minor flooding on Sunday night and Monday.

No significant falls are forecast for the region tonight.
