Neerim South man wins Matthew George Young Stockman Award

NEERIM South property and stud cattle manager Cameron Cutler has won the Matthew George Young Stockman Award for 2012.

The award will give Mr Cutler the chance to undertake an overseas study tour to investigate beef cattle breeding practices.

Mr Cutler has bred six show steers since 2004 from a Gelmaster cow he was given and has competed in judging competitions since he was 12 years old.

He won the 15-25 year old section at the Yarram Show when he was 14 and has gone on to judge many other shows.

Studying Certificate II in Agriculture in Years 11 and 12, Mr Cutler went on to complete a Diploma of Agronomy and Certificates in Artificial Insemination, Chemical Users, Welding and ATV.
