Court hears Drouin man intentionally hit by car

THORPDALE man Phillip Erbs has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury after hitting a Drouin man with his car this afternoon.

A Victoria Police spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen Erbs, 43, faced an out-of-sessions court hearing at the Pakenham Police Station at 10pm tonight.

He has been remanded in custody before appearing at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, also facing other assault and traffic-related offences.

The 33-year-old Drouin man was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition after being hit just after 2pm on a Princes Way service road.

The Warragul Criminal Investigation Unit and Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.

A 43-year-old Thorpdale man is in custody after hitting a pedestrian with his car in Drouin today.
