An estimated 40 jobs are expected to be created in the facility’s first year.
Alysium Gardens will be built on a 1.75 hectare parcel of land on Tarwin Street. The site will border the Waterford Rise estate parkland and development when both projects are finished.
The state government has committed $420,000 from the Regional Growth Fund toward building the facility.
A large number of developers and neighbours joined Narracan MP Gary Blackwood for the state government’s funding announcement on the development site last Friday.

In a media release Mr Blackwood said the facility would enhance the community.
“The facility will attract high calibre, well trained senior management and staff to deliver quality care and accommodation services, enhancing the community’s wellbeing and sustainability,” Mr Blackwood said.
Congratulations to the entrepeneurs with the intestinal fortitude to take on such a large venture.
I am currently in Tamworth NSW and very impressed with the vibrant CBD here. Almost any franchise in clothing and food you can think of. Retailers are friendly and helpful. Quality of houses excellent. Streetscapes exc. with Palm trees. This municipality is five hours from Sydney or Brisbane. I recommend that our “Town Leaders” take a look.
