KATTER’S Australian Party has put forward a candidate to contest McMillan in the upcoming federal election.
David Amor of Korumburra has been chosen by the party to contest seat presently held by Liberal MP Russell Broadbent.

The automotive business operator said in a media release stopping coal seam gas exploration in the region was a key issue for him.
Mr Amor also said the two major parties had failed the region.
“Due to the failures of the two other parties doing very little, what I can see is McMillan and my state in disarray,” Mr Amor said.
“A new beginning must happen now to get industry, infrastructure, management, hop, jobs and guidance to the people through this economic hardship.

“The Katter’s Australian Party is for the average guys having a go through sheer gut and determination getting this country back to where it should be.”
The KAP presently has one member in the House of Representatives, former independent Bob Katter.
