BAW Baw Shire’s new councillors were sworn in at a special council meeting on Wednesday.

Councillors undertook the oath of office in a meeting which only took around 15 minutes.

The 2012 council features six new faces and Warragul ward returned no incumbent councillors.

Minister for Local Government Jeanette Powell said 300 new councillors were elected across the state.

Baw Baw Shire councillors will elect a new mayor on Wednesday.
